We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Boarding House Manageress to oversee the daily operations and management of our boarding facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach, and a genuine commitment to creating a safe and enriching environment for our boarding students
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the boarding house, ensuring a safe, supportive, and conducive living environment for students.
- Supervise boarding staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of care and discipline
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to student welfare, safety, and conduct within the boarding house.
- Foster a sense of community and belonging among boarding students, organizing activities and events to promote engagement and well-being.
- Collaborate with school leadership, parents, and external stakeholders to address any concerns and maintain open communication channels.
- Maintain accurate records related to student accommodations and behaviour.
Qualifications Required & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, Social Work, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a boarding school environment or residential management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
- Compassionate, approachable, and understanding of the needs of adolescent students.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare protocols.
