SCHOOL GOVERNANCE


The Morgan International Community School Board of Directors acts as the overall corporate and legal authority of the School. All activities, programmes and groups within the MICS community fall under the legal authority of the School Board of Directors. Decisions regarding the strategic direction of the school as well as all decisions of a general policy nature are taken at the level of the School Board.

Board Members


Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful Broni, PhD - Board Chariman


Very Rev Prof. Fr. Anthony Afful Broni, who was the former Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Management and a Masters in Pastoral Counselling from New York City's Fordham University.

Having won the Jesuit Scholarship for Missionaries to support his Masters studies, he also won a Graduate Assistantship and worked at the Office of the Chair, A.P.UE, at Fordham as a doctoral student. Prior to that, he obtained a Diploma in Sacred Theology from the University of Ghana, Legon while pursuing higher studies in Sacred Theology and Philosophy from St. Peter's Major Seminary, Cape Coast, Ghana. He was the SRC President in his deaconate year at the Major Seminary.

An ordained Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Cape Coast for over 26 years, Fr. Afful-Broni serves on many boards including the World Vision International, Morgan International School, and Community Health Nursing Training School, Winneba. He is also President of the Priests' Senate, Chairman of the Education Committee, and Member of the College of Consultors for the Catholic Archdiocese of Cape Coast. A past University Chaplain of the University of Education Winneba, he has for nearly 15 years, been resident Chaplain of Holy Spirit Catholic Church on campus.

Obed Danquah - Founder and Technical Director


Rev. Danquah is an entrepreneur who found himself first venturing into several businesses at the tender age of eleven. He is the sole founder of Morgan International Community School, Entrepreneurial Training Institute and Africa Worldview. Mr. Danquah holds an Executive MBA from Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA) since the year 2000. He also holds an MA in Theology, Mission and Culture and an MTH in African Christianity, both from Akrofi Christeller Institute of Theology, Mission and Culture, Akropong, Ghana. He is currently pursuing his PHD in Theology at Akrofi.

Rev. Danquah's love for humans, actions, and innate traits are symbolic of his walk with God. He believes that everyone is blessed with a talent and that with the right amount of determination, motivation and preparation, anyone can be successful.

Dr. Kwabena Dapaah-Siakwan


Dr K.D Dapaah is an experienced Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years experience in accounting, financial management, general management and strategic policy making. He possesses more than 23 years post qualification experience in Senior Management positions in business administration in industries including Accounting, Banking, Property development, and Academia.

Naa Amarley Croffie


Ms. Naa Amarley Croffie is a lawyer who was called to the Bar in April, 2010. She is a professional Human Resources Practitioner with diverse experience in legal issues. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and also a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, United Kingdom. She is currently the Head of Corporate Services at Rancard Solutions, Accra.

Israel Titi Offei


Mr. Israel Titi Ofei has a BSc in Chemistry and attended an MA in Education programme at the Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom. He has been a teacher of long standing, first at the prestigious Achimota School, Ghana, then for the past twenty-four years, at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College (SOS-HGIC), where he first served as Vice Principal and is now the Principal. Mr. Ofei was also an Educational Consultant for the International Finance Corporation's (IFC) educational projects in Ghana and also served on the SOS Kinderdorf International Organisation's Educational Expert Team that worked on its current Educational Policy. He was involved in the educational reform process in Ghana, serving as a Trainer of Trainers during the reforms of 1987. He was involved in the National Distance Education Programme in Ghana and he leads School Authorization visits for the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) for Europe, Africa and the Middle East Region.

Additionally he has served as a consultant to various schools in Ghana and Nigeria, assisting them to introduce the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma programmes. He initiated the SOS-HGIC Distant Intervention Programmes for SOS schools across Africa. Mr. Ofei's core values include integrity, compassion, the courage to do right and respect for all, especially children. He believes that all children can learn successfully if given the right support.

Dr. Isaac Sagoe


Dr. Sagoe is an optometrist who holds a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. He studied in Romania for his first degree and later went to Johns Hopkins University in the United State of America for his Master's degree. Dr. Sagoe is currently running a practicing firm called Solar Opticals in Takoradi. He is endowed with many traits and he has keen interest in entrepreneurship. He also has interest in agriculture and he is currently into teak trees cultivation in the Western Region.
